Fokal / Privacy policy
PrivacyPrivacy policy
This policy explains what happens to personal data when you visit fokalconsulting.com. It is short because the site collects very little.
Last updated: 6 August 2026.
Who is responsible
Fokal Consulting is the data controller for this website. The practice is run by Murat Yatağan and is based in Kraków, Poland.
For any question about this policy or about your data, write to info@fokalconsulting.com.
What this site collects
Nothing is collected about you unless you accept analytics cookies. There are no contact forms, no newsletter, no advertising, no social media trackers, and no profiling.
If you accept, Google Analytics 4 records anonymous usage data: which pages you visited, roughly where you are (country and city level), the type of device and browser you used, how you arrived at the site, and which links you clicked. Your IP address is anonymised before storage.
This data is used for one purpose: to understand whether the site is useful. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never combined with any other source.
Cookies
Before you choose, this site sets no cookies at all. Your choice itself is remembered in your browser's local storage under the key fokal-consent, which never leaves your device and is not a cookie.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets two cookies:
Distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after 2 years.
Maintains the analytics session state. Expires after 2 years.
If you decline, neither is ever set. You can also delete them at any time through your browser settings.
Legal basis
Analytics runs on your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent is requested before anything is stored, refusing is as easy as accepting, and you can withdraw it at any time using the control below.
The technical operation of the site, including security and delivery, rests on legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f).
Who else is involved
Google. Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited and processes data on our behalf. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses.
Cloudflare. This site is hosted and delivered by Cloudflare, which processes connection data such as IP addresses in order to serve pages and protect against attacks.
Google Calendar. The "Talk to us" button takes you to a Google Calendar booking page. Once you leave this site, Google's own privacy policy applies to whatever you enter there.
How long data is kept
Analytics data is retained for 14 months and then deleted automatically. Your consent choice stays in your browser until you change it or clear your browser storage.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or portability. You may object to processing, and you may withdraw consent at any time without giving a reason.
To exercise any of these, email info@fokalconsulting.com. You also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, which in Poland is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
Your current cookie setting
This is what your browser has stored right now. Change it whenever you like, and the change takes effect immediately.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Any change that affects what is collected will be accompanied by a fresh consent request.
